Airtable
Connect ComposeIt with Airtable to dynamically generate documents and invoices from your base records.
Generate custom PDFs, invoices, and documents dynamically directly from your Airtable bases.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Step 1: Add Integration in Dashboard
Navigate to Integrations in your dashboard and click Add Integration.
💡 Tip: You can also create your first connection directly in the editor when you click Connect to Airtable under Data Sources.
Step 2: Select Connection Method
Choose how you want to connect your Airtable account. You can use OAuth (recommended and fastest) or enter a Personal Access Token (PAT) manually (you can create this in Airtable, be sure to grant it scopes and access based on your needs).
Our integration uses these scopes:
data.records:readdata.records:writeschema.bases:read
Step 3: Authorize Connection
Authorize the connection and select which bases and resources to grant access to, for oauth.
Step 4: Connect Airtable to Your Template
Next, open or create a template and connect it to Airtable using your newly created connection.
Step 5: Select Base and Table
Select the Airtable Base and Table you wish to connect to your template.
Step 6: Connection Established
You're in! Your template is now connected to your selected Airtable table.
Step 7: Access Variables
You can now access variables from your Airtable columns and use them to build your template layout.
Step 8: Preview with Records
The Play button in the topbar will now preview your document with the first record from your table.
You can click that for quick previews at any time while building.
Step 9: Preview Multiple Records in Data Panel
If you go to the Data Panel, you can open the connection and preview with more records. We fetch up to 10 records for testing.
Step 10: Publish and Setup Integration
Once you're happy with the template, you can publish it and then click Setup Integration on the connection card. Here you can set up your script or link and start generating.
That's it! Your Airtable integration is completely set up and ready to generate documents on demand.
